Joan Sartori became a Monty Roberts Certified Instructor in 2014. It has been a lifelong dream of hers to become a certified horse trainer. A stay in Colorado from 2010 to 2012 opened both for the opportunity to study with Mr. Monty Roberts at his academy MRILC and to learn about the Western discipline.
Joan’s life with horses began at 8 years old and soon competitive showjumping was her main focus. In the early teens, she was given the opportunity to work and train horses at the local horse dealer, offering her the opportunity to work with many different kinds of horses. In her adult life, and after becoming certified instructor especially, she has worked with a wide variety of horses and disciplines, such as racehorses, showjumpers, dressage horses, polo horses, draft horses, Icelandic horses, ranch and western horses, and always worth mentioning – the wild and untouched horses.
Currently Joan teaches the Monty Roberts methods, gives lectures in horse psychology and behavior, as well as teaching science students and professionals in the safe handling of horses.
