MONTY ROBERTS AVAILABLE FOR SELECT INTERVIEWS: The New York Times bestselling author and world-renowned horse trainer Monty Roberts is available for interviews. MONTY ROBERTS first gained widespread fame with the release of hisĀ New York Times Best Selling book, The Man Who Listens To Horses; aĀ chronicle of his life and development of hisĀ non-violent horse trainingĀ methods called Join-UpĀ®. Monty grew up on a working horse farm as aĀ firsthand witness to traditional, often violent methods of horseĀ training and breakingĀ the spirit with an abusive hand. Rejecting that,Ā he went on to win nine worldās championships in the show ring. Today,Ā Montyās goal is to share his message that āViolence is never theĀ answer.ā Roberts has been encouraged by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth IIĀ with the award of the Membership in The Royal Victorian Order, as wellĀ as becoming Patron of Join-UpĀ International. Other honors receivedĀ were the ASPCA āFoundersā award and the MSPCA George T. AngellĀ Humanitarian Award and FEIās Man of the Year. Monty was recentlyĀ includedĀ as Horse and Hound Magazineās Top 50 Horsemen of All Time.Ā Monty is credited with launching the first of its kind Equus OnlineĀ University; an interactive online lesson site that is theĀ definitiveĀ learning tool for violence-free training. THE MOVEMENT āA movement started in the horse industry when horseĀ owners began to have a clearer vision of how horses affected humans inĀ positive way. Inspired by howĀ interchangeable the lessons from herdĀ behavior were, Iāve watched trainers, teachers, mothers and managersĀ become better communicators, leaders and influencers for good. ThisĀ yearās presenters are each amazing in their industries and they all haveĀ a vision of a better world, inspired by incorporating horses in theirĀ own story. They come to share that visionĀ and build on it withĀ participants who will take home a life-changing plan. Leaders mayĀ inspire, but only when people choose to act does a vision become aĀ movement,ā said DebbieĀ Roberts Loucks who manages the event. This unique event helps you better understand problem solving usingĀ violence-free training methods. People come and spend time withĀ like-minded people absorbing what non-violentĀ communication can beĀ and enjoy discussions with Monty and students from around the world.
