About Orion
Orion is a beautiful 7-year-old BLM Mustang. 15.2 hh, this buckskin pinto gelding is inquisitive and willing once he overcomes his initial shyness. He is good-natured and shows a lot of potential.
He was rounded up in the High Rock (CA) HMA on October 6, 2021 and has been in training at the Monty Roberts Learning Center since the end of April. According to the BLM, High Rock Mustangs are likely descended from local ranching stock, and demonstrate traits from a variety of breeds.
Since the video was taken Orion stands for all 4 feet to be picked up and is scheduled for his first farrier visit next week.
